Payment Information

AMUN requires a $120 (US) deposit to hold each country you are reserving for the in-person conference. Thus if you are reserving one in-person country a $120 deposit is due, two countries require $240, etc. Note that this deposit is not specifically related to either your delegation or per delegate fees. The full deposit will be deducted from all fees which are due for your delegation(s).

If paying by check or money order, this should be sent within seven days. If paying by credit card, please proceed to the next section. You may make credit card payments online via our secure server.

Your country selections*

Please list a minimum of five Available Countries, in the order of your school's preference. Delegations will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. While the list of Assigned countries on the AMUN web site is updated frequently, one or more schools may have registered since the last update.

* All countries listed are automatically seated on three General Assembly Committees (First, Second and Third), in the concurrent General Assembly Plenary Session and in the General Assembly Plenary (Concurrent) (GA Plenary). Membership on the following committees is noted after the country's name: Security Council (SC), Historical Security Council (1961), Historical Commission of Inquiry of 1948 (COI-1948), Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ). All countries may also choose to place a single Representative on the World Health Assembly (WHA).

A note for schools registering from outside of the United States, Canada or from countries not participating in the US Visa Waiver Program*

While AMUN encourages participation from students in all countries, we cannot assign a country to a school from outside the US or Canada until we have received the full payment of the registration fee of $120 (US) plus a $15 (US) fee if your payment is made via wire transfer. Payments from schools outside the US and Canada may be made by bank check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank. We are also able to accept credit card payments from some countries, but only from certain countries due to limits imposed by our processing company. Regardless, any payments by credit card must be made by the person named on the card, with an address in the country from which the card is submitted; we cannot accept cards from third parties for payment. Please note in your registration if you would like to pay by credit card or wire transfer and we will provide you with additional information. Also, because of the time and resources involved we are not able to write letters in support of visa applications until such time as the registration deposit has been paid. If a group has paid its deposit, it should send an e-mail to mail@amun.org that includes the names and university affiliations of each student who will be part of the group. This message should also include the fax number and address of the U.S. Embassy that will be processing your visa applications. It is highly recommended that the name of the appropriate person in charge of visas at the embassy be included, so that we may direct our letter in support of the visa application to a specific individual. It is important to note that our organization will only confirm that your school is registered for the Conference and has paid its deposit; we cannot guarantee the U.S. Embassy that the applying students will return to their country of origin at the close of the conference. At the present time, it is very difficult for students from countries outside of Latin America, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and a few other countries to receive visas from the U.S. State Department. Please take this into account before processing your registration. Note that the $120 (US) deposit fee is non-refundable. Once we have received valid payment of the registration fee, we will be glad to process your country request. All registrations falling into this category must be completed by 15 August. American Model United Nations will not register any group wishing to attend that makes their registration deposit payment after this date. *For a list of countries participating in the U.S. Department of State’s Visa Waiver Program, please see https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visa-waiver-program.html.
