The United States recognizes the roadblocks presented by the Russian Federation on setting the agenda topic on the night of 19 November. With the threat of double veto, the Russian Federation is avoiding its duties and responsibilities to the international community and its commitments to the body. We are deeply concerned with Russia’s course of action and encourage them to be more productive with their actions. If the Russian Federation continues this course of action, ourselves and our international partners will have no choice but to look towards alternative resolutions in maintaining peace within Ukraine and prevent further war.
