While this paper addresses several important topics, it continues to neglect the needs of third-world countries, as well as those of conflict-ridden zones. All nations should be free to make their own legislation, without being pressured to conform to these Westernized ideals. The safety of journalists is an issue of the upmost importance. However, there are many different perspectives and solutions to consider, which is why Burkina Faso is currently abstaining from voting on Resolution 1.1.
