Press Release: Egypt Calls for Collaboration in GA Second
On the topic of Agricultural development, food security and nutrition, Egypt emphasizes the importance of collaboration. Egypt is looking forward to working with fellow Member States to work to address not only nutrition and food security challenges but also to continue to address the needs of the citizens left most vulnerable to food insecurity. This includes, but is not limited to, crisis-affected populations and refugees. Moving forward, Egypt urges updating policy and a stated commitment in regards to agricultural development, food security and nutrition.
Egypt prioritizes sustainability efforts for targeted and crisis-affected groups and the need for climate-adaptive food systems. Egypt invites the General Assembly Second Committee to address specific actions such as supplementary debt relief mechanisms, the improvement and increase of funding for agricultural technologies and the improvement of means to support the end of rural poverty.
